Note from Colin Ayres:

Our God is the God of every sparrow, and God knows when each of them dies. As Jesus knows that He himself will one day fulfil the scripture and suffer death, He echoes the scripture of Jeremiah 8.7 where the stork knows the hour of their calling. There is battle and suffering but as Christians are we wolves?
No, we are like herbivore sheep amongst wolves (v18). The message of Jesus is not to be anxious for the Spirit of God the Father is in His sheep (c20).
The sword He spoke of is of the resistance that exists in the world, but let us please remember this - when Peter did raise his sword against an oppressor, Jesus told him to lower the sword and not to use violence Matthew 26:51-52.
What does it mean to spill innocent blood?
Let us ask ourselves this.
Judas understood that this was betrayal of the Lord Matthew 27:4
