Hosea 2:18
In that day I will make a covenant [H1285][G1242] for them with the animals of the field, and with the birds of the sky, and with the creeping things of the ground. I will break the bow, the sword, and the battle out of the land, and will make them lie down safely.

In verses verse 18 the covenant of God, animals and humans once includes the creeping things, and protects humans from the sword. This covenant is throughout the Bible Genesis 9:8-13 and Matthew 26 v28. The promise of God is for all creation - all who have a soul that God created. Nephesh (soul) is the name for animals as created in Genesis 1
